Need something to entertain and educate your kids on the school holidays? our qualified teachers, aka ‘mad scientists’, deliver a fun and interactive science school holiday program for kids of all ages. Normally held at Cockatoo Community House, CIRE Chirnside Park and CIRE Yarra Junction each School Holiday period.

PRESCHOOLERS
Bubbles, colours and mess
Children will be amazed and entertained by our science educators who know how to keep kids attention and engage them in how the world around them works. Students will be able to play with bubbles, make bubble snakes, watch colours run around plates and much more.
Science Magic
In this mix of hands on and demonstrations, students will be in awe of how science can look like magic! From making things fly to mini explosions, children will be entertained and learning at the same time.
PRIMARY SCHOOLERS
Force and Motion
Learn more about the relationship between force and motion. Explore the effect of friction and learn about the forces of attraction and repulsion between magnets. Experiment with making their own rocket to investigate air resistance and gravity.
How objects move
Explore how different objects move and learn about the different forces that affect movement. Create objects that float in water to explore buoyancy and launch rockets to investigate thrust.
