Job Description:
We are seeking a Science Educator and Party Host to join our enthusiastic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering captivating science lessons to groups of students, both in small group settings and in larger demonstrations to entire classes. Your primary mission will be to engage students’ imagination, spark their curiosity, and create memorable science-focused experiences.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver Engaging Lessons: Develop and deliver science lesson plans in an entertaining and informative manner, fostering students’ interest in science.
  2. Interactive Demonstrations: Conduct captivating and hands-on experiments and demonstrations that align with our mission of making science exciting.
  3. Small Group and Large Class Teaching: Effectively engage with students in small groups and deliver entertaining science demonstrations to entire classes.
  4. Maintain a Safe Learning Environment: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during experiments and activities.
  5. Working with Children: Create a positive and supportive learning atmosphere, making science accessible and enjoyable for all students.
  6. Set-Up and Clean-Up: Prepare and clean up the learning environment before and after each session or party.

Qualifications

  • A genuine passion for science and a desire to inspire the next generation with enthusiasm for the subject.
  • A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required.
  • Some background or education in science is useful, but not mandatory.
  • Experience working with children in any capacity is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with students.
  • Creativity and the ability to adapt science concepts for various age groups.
